Who we are
Twenny ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Twenny mobile application and website at https://www.twenny.kids. These policies apply to all users of our services.
Who this service is for
Twenny is designed for parents and legal guardians. A parent or guardian creates the family account and manages profiles for their children. Children do not create their own accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent through the parent account.
Information we collect
- Parent account details: email address and authentication data.
- Child profiles you create: name, grade, and optional school details.
- Learning activity: lessons completed, quiz results, streaks, and practice history.
- Device data: device type, app version, and push notification tokens.
- Subscription status and product identifiers. Payment card details are processed by Apple, Google, or Stripe (for website purchases); we do not store your full payment card number.
How we use it
We use this information to personalize lessons, track progress, generate parent reports, process subscriptions, improve the learning experience, and keep the service secure.
AI and third-party services
Practice feedback and some lesson examples are generated using third-party AI services. Relevant lesson context may be sent to those providers solely to generate a response. We do not sell personal data. We use trusted infrastructure providers including Supabase (hosting and authentication), Apple and Google (in-app purchases), and email delivery providers.
Data isolation
Each family's data is isolated. Row-level security ensures your children's records are only accessible to your family account. Curriculum content is shared and read-only.
Data retention and deletion
We retain data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service and comply with law. You can delete your account from Account settings in the mobile app. Deletion deactivates your account immediately and schedules your data for removal, subject to limited retention required by law.
Your choices
You can edit or remove child profiles at any time. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.
Children's privacy
We comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including COPPA where it applies. Because children use Twenny only through a parent-managed account, the parent is responsible for providing any required consents and supervising use.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
